The Northamptonshire Energy Saving Service (known as NESS) is a project helping address fuel poverty across Northamptonshire.

NESS is delivered by Community Law Service in partnership with Citizens Advice Services Corby and Kettering, Care and Repair Northamptonshire, South Northants Volunteer Bureau, North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council.  Initially funded for 3 years, funding was agreed and extended for a further 14 months from National Grid’s Warm Homes Fund.  We are very pleased to say that North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council have agreed to continue to fund this vital work.

What did NESS achieved in it’s first 4 years?

4605 households in Northamptonshire were assisted.

-Total increase in annual income for those households of £11,686,040.
-£658669 in energy savings following advice and provision of small energy saving items.
-Households were assisted to get debt totalling £720354 written off.
